MACARTHY TRUST

DISTRIBUTION OF INCOME, LARGE SUM FOR WELLINGTON INSTITUTIONS. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 10. Since the first, distribution of profits from the estate of the late T. E. Mac art hy in 1913, roughly half of which goes to benefit charitable and educational institutions in Wellington district, the impressive sum of £41,222 has been distributed according to the terms of the trust. The amount available in the manner referred to for distribution as a result of operations in 1919 is £6465. or £1353 more than in the preceding year. At the annual meeting of the Board of Trustees yesterday, .seventy- applications for grants were received from charitable and educational institutions and of that number sixty-three were considered favourably.
