CHILD RUN OVER. FATAL ACCIDENT IN WOOL STORK. (Per United Press Association.) GISBORNE, Juno 10. Frank Dayman, aged 6 years, was run over by a motor car and is in a serious condition. Philip Brooke Berry' sustained a fracture of the spine by the fall of a bale of wool in a wool store and succumbed to his injuries. INFANT SUFFOCATED IN BED. CHRISTCHURCH, June U. Rita Rebecca Thomas, aged four months, was found dead in bed by her mother yesterday morning. At the inquest the Coroner returned a vertlict that the child was accidentally suffocated by being overlain, and added a rider that the practice of mothers sleeping with infants was dangerous, and (hat a separate cot .should be provided. A MOTORING FATALITY. NEW PLYMOUTH, June Id. Mrs Laura Ansford, wife of a settler at Ortiata, died from injuries received in a motor car accident near here this morning. The car was going down hill and swerved to avoid cattle, and fell over an embankment. Mr Ansford was uninjured, but his wife died on the way to the hospital. MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. WANGANUI, June 15. A young man named Johns, son of the local inspector of factories, while making a trial run on a motor bicycle to-night, overtook and collided with a cart with such force that the machine was smashed and the rider severely hurt. He was taken to the hospital suffering from a fractured skull and other injuries.
