Even,' precaution has been taken to restrain the crowds and prevent a recurrenee of the over-enthusiasm which interfered with the proceedings in Victoria. The public .have been asked to refrain from untoward demonstrations, rushes, and the throwing of confetti and dowers, and to assist the big bodies of police and troops in their duties of seeing the programme carried out in an orderly manner.
