CHRISTCHURCH PROSECUTIONS. TRANSACTIONS IN ALARM CLOCKS. (Special to the Times). CHRISTCHURCH, June 13. Six charges under the anti-profiteering regulations will be heard at the Magistrate’s Court, before Mr S. E. McCarthy, S.M., tomorrow. Five separate firms will be charged with alleged breaches arising out of the sale of alarm clocks, and a leading drapery firm, the D.1.C., will also be charged with an alleged breach in the sale of alarm clocks. Mr W. C. McGregor, of Dunedin, and Mr A. T. Donnelly will appear for the Crown, and the defendants will be represented by Sir John Findlay, K.C., Mr O. P. Skerrett, K.C., and Mr M. Myers, all of W’ellington.
