Signor Giolitti will insist on a settlement of the Adriatic que.stion on (he lines of the Pact of Ixmdon. Gioliltian circles assert that Signor Nitli rode for a fall. The bread decree was only a pretext for his resignation. The real reason was to be found in the Adriatic problem, which proved insoluble. Genera! disturbances in Apulia, in which many rioters were injured in collision with the police and troops, culminated in a revolutionary outbreak at Bari. The troops drove the rebels out of New Bari, but they built barricades in the old town and fired on the troop,s. There are many dead and wounded on both sides.
GIOLITTI BIDDING FOR SOCIALIST SUPPORT. NO CHANGE OF FOREIGN POLICY. ROME, June 11. Signor Giolitti has been asked to form a Ministry, According to the Btampa he is bidding for Socialist support by proposing to confiscate war fortunes and increase taxation on properly, hut the Socialists refused to enter a coalition. Signor Giolitti states that his foreign policy will be the same as Signor Nit'-i’s. EFFORT TO FORM A COALITION. ROME, June 12.
