STATE PENSIONERS
REQUEST TOR INCREASED ALLOWANCES. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 11. At a nicotine: of New Zealand superannuated railway employees and pensioners of the police force of Canterbury, the following motion was carried-“ That inasmuch as the Prime Minister has expressed himself as heirur in sympathy with the claim of superannuated railwayman for additional superannuation allowances, wo call upon him to translate his sympathy into practical terms.” It was decided to respectfully ask for an increase of four shillings per day for members superannuated before the war and since, who did not participate in a war bonus before retiring.
