SMALLPOX

NO FRESH CASES. No fresh cases of smallpox have been reported since Tuesday and the rush for vaccination has eased considerably. The various schools are being visited, however, and' a large percentage of parents have consented to have their children treated. Dr Ritchie, of the Health Department, who has been stationed in Invercargill, has returned to Dunedin, and Dr McKibbin, District Health Officer, is expected to pay a visit here within a few days.
