OLD BOYS
SOUTHLAND HIGH SCHOOL DINNER. The first dinner since the war of the Southland High School Old Boys’ Association was held in the Federal Tea Rooms last night, when Mr W. Maealister, the president, occupied the chair. There was a good gathering of old boys and the evening went with a swing. The annual report stated that the Association had been represented in the Peace procession by an appropriate banner carried by two old boys and designed by Mr T. D. A. Moffett. The balance sheet showed a credit of £6 2s 7d which must be considered satisfactory as the association had not been sa active during war years. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, said that tha financial position was satisfactory, but ha would like to see a keener interest takes in the association of all old boys. The could do a lot for the school if they worked together, and he hoped that the dinner would be an annual one from now onward. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The following office bearers were elected; —Patrons: Hon. J. A. Hanan, Hon. A. F. Hawke, Messrs T. D. Pearce, and R. A. Anderson; president, Mr W. Maealister; vicepresidents: Messrs JO.
