AWANUI MANSLAUGHTER CASE. THREE YEARS’ REFORMATIVE TREAT- ! MENT. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND. June 5 At the Supreme Court Ilona Herewini, a young Maori was found guilty of man slaughter arising out of the death of another native at Awanui in February, and was sentenced to three years’ reformative treatment at Invercargill. INVERCARGILL SITTINGS CONCLUDED. The Invercargill sittings of the Supreme Court was concluded on Friday and H s Honour Mr Justice Sim left for Dunedin by the early express on Saturday. IN CHAMBERS. Probate wits granted in the estates of the following deceased persons :—Archibald Gilchrist (Mr Hunter) ; David Dawson (Mr Tait); Duncan McGregor (Mr C. S. Lohguct) ; Janet Webster (Mr C. S. Lonpuel) Joseph Anthony Crowe (Mr W. Macalister); Ann Jane Whatson (Mr Stout! ; George Sullivan (Mr W. Macalister) ; William Quinne (Mr W. Macalister). _ Letters of administration were granted in the estate of Elizabeth Dickson (Mr W. Macalister).
