SIR WILLIAM REDWOOD
VISIT TO R.S.A. CIVIC WELCOME AT*WELLINGTON. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 3. General Sir William Birdwood visited the Relumed Soldiers’ Association Conference to-day, and was received with rousing cheers. He was welcomed by Dr Boxer, the President. A civic reception was tendered to him at the Town Hall to-nigbt. There was a largo attendance, and speeches of welcome were made by the Mayor; Mr W. Pony, on behalf of the Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association; Dr Boxer, for the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association ; and Mr Massey, for the Government.
