Owing to darkness the finals could not be run oft', and it was derided to meet the following day. The weather was, if anything, worse than on the previous day, but a good number turned up at the property of Messrs Garney Bros., "Woollands,'’ where the finals were run off. Some splendid courses were run, and the hares being in good fettle, the dogs were seen at their best. The stake was won by Mr Finn’s Tip with Mr Mears’ Hurry On as runner up. Third place went to Mr Craigen’s Mona. The first and third dogs are fr j i Wrcy’s Bush, and the second from Edendale. The veteran Mr H. Irving was judge, and his verdicts were never disputed. Messrs Broad and Marshall were the slippers, and got the dogs away without a hitch. The thanks of the committee are due to Messrs Milliken and Garvey' Bros, for the use of their properties for the meeting, to the judge, slippers, beaters, and all who helped to make the meeting a pleasant and successful one.
