FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Town i Council was held last night, present;—. The i Mayor (Mr Icteadi, and Counciilors F. J. Lillicrap. -L Stevenson, .7. A. Doig, Sheehan. F. W. Freddy. S. McC. McDonald, .7. Carswell, J. Martin, and J. Matheson. D. S. Wilson, a ictiirncd soldier, applied ior work, having been unable to obtain cmrloyment since his return. He was a dental mechanic, and stated that such work was ?.ng performed by women workers.—Referred to the Mayor.
