SMALLPOX

ANOTHER CASE DISCOVERED.

No fresh cases of smallpox were notified to the Health Inspector yesterday, but inquiries made by the officer led to another case, that of a little girl, being located. Fortunately people are evidently realising the necessity for precaution and are seeking the advice of the Health Inspector over any symptoms which to them might appear consistent with smallpox. Yesterday the Health Inspector had a busy day attending to such communications, but with the one exception stated, there appeared to be no cause for alarm. During his visits to various houses he was called upon to inspect a little girl who was suffering from gravel rash as the result of a fall from a tramcar, and another whose parents though t that a pimple on her nose was the first sign of the disease.
