LICENSED PREMISES
POSITION OF RACECOURSE BOOTHS.
(Per United Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, May 25.
At the Magistrate’s Court a prohibited person was charged with entering licensed premises during the currency of an order, the premises being a booth at the Addington trotting ground, for which a conditional license had been granted by the Licensing committee. The police asked for the Magistrate’s ruling whether a racecourse booth constituted licensed premises, and the Magistrate (Mr McCarthy) reserved his decision, stating that other Magistrates had held that such booths were not licensed premises.
