FARMERS UNION

AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE

(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 26. The annual conference of the Provincial Farmers’ Union resolved to urge the Government to insist on a free market for New Zealand butter. The desirability of establishing a working agreement between the Farmers’ Union and the industrial unions was emphasised by several speakers, and it was decided that a committee of three members of the union be appointed to inquire into the aims and aspirations of the industrial unions with a view to bringing about an agreement between the producers from land and the industrial producers.
