SOLDIER SETTLEMENT
THE LEGAL WORK. TO BE GIVEN TO SOLDIER SOLICITORS. (Per United Press Association.) WHAKATANE, May 19. Mr F. F. Hockley, M.P., has received from the Hon. D. H. Guthrie a letter stating that it has been decided that an opportunity shall be given to all fully accredited returned soldier solicitors of participating in the legal work under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act. Commissioners of Crown Lands will keep a list of solicitors whom they consider suitable for employment in this direction, and the work will be equally divided between the solicitors on the list. Applications to be placed on the list should be made to the Commissioners.
