GRANTS TO SCHOOL COMMITTEES. Tho regulation governing the amended scale of allowances to school committees for incidental expenses is published in last week’s gazette. It operates as from April 1 'IO2O. Tho new scale includes the following figures:— Average attendance. Amount of Grant. I—B 14s per pupil. o—2o £l4 81—120 £45 201—240 £7B 401 —440 £127 601—040 £172 801—840 £213 The schedule provides for all the intermediate grades in proportion to the amounts quoted.
