SUPERPHOSPHATES

SHIPMENT FROM AUSTRALIA. PERMITS GRANTED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 17. As a result of the continued representations to the Commonwealth by the Premier, permits have been granted for the shipment of a further considerable supply of superphosphates to merchants in the Dominion. A cable, received by Mr Massey states that the latest permits are for a quantity totalling 2300 tons. This will prove, a materia! factor in assisting to overcome the difficulty producers have experienced in obtaining the necessary supplies of this fertiliser. It is hoped that facilities for prompt shipment from Australia will be available. Inquiries are being made on the point.
