TIMARU BURGLARIES

TWO SEAMEN CHARGED. (Per United Press Association.) TIMARU, May 10. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day two young men who were members of the crew of the Corinthic, which was in Timaru on April 22, were committed for trial on charges of theft of overcoats from the Royal Hotel. Mr J. Craigie’s shop, and the Custom House were broken into and a good deal of damage was done to papers in the latter. Mr Craigie aLso lost a number of curios collected on his Samoan trip.
