METHODIST CONFERENCE
SOLOMON ISLANDS MISSION. HANDED OVER TO NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, May 10. (Received May 11, 1.50 a.m.) The Methodist Conference, after a lengthy debate, decided to hand over the Solomon Islands to the Methodist Church of New Zealand in 1922 without attaching any proposed stipulation to the transfer. The Rev. S. Lawry thanked the conference for the generous manner in which it had reached a decision. The Conference further decided that upon the transfer taking place the New Zealand Church should return the mission funds of the Missionary Society of Australasia invested in New Zealand.
