The Shorthorn Society ordered the destruction of Mrs Stewart’s champion bull, Millhills Rothes Prince, worth £SOOO, because it was entered in the Herd Book as a March calf, though born in February. As a result of the Scottish Chamber of Agriculture’s protest the Shorthorn Society has reprieved the bull on the condition that it Ls made ineffective for breeding.
