HOUSEHOLDERS’ MEETINGS. HELD ON MAY 3. Aparima. —Three householders were present and Mr J. Muirhead presided. The roll number for the school is 2S and the average attendance for the year was 22. The annual statement showed a credit balance of .£lfj 19s 4:1. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs J. Muirhead (chairman) S. Hall (secretary I and Myles Ford. Brydone. —About seven householders were present and Mr J. P. Nicholson presided. The roll number for the school is 33 and the average attendance for the year was 30. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £ll 12s Hd. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—J. P. Nicholson (chairman), W. Wyeth (secretary), J. Drysdale, "VV. Dunlop and A. A. Thomson. osaumont. —Mr D. J. Hcenan presided. The roll number for the school is 11 and the average attendance was 10. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £3 5s Id. Ermedale.—Six householders were prepent and Mr Mitchell presided. The roll number for the school is 13 and the average attendance for the year was 11.3. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £l6 14a 9ri. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs A. M. Mitchell (chairman 1 ), C. Stalker (secretary), I. Douglas, W. Wilson and H. Ward. Glencoe. —Twelve householders were present and Mr Archie McKay presided. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £l6 ss. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs W. Mackintosh (chairman), G. Sutton (secretary). Arch. McKay, J. Graham and A. McKenzie. Morton Mains. —Ten householders were present and Mr Alfred Horne presided. The roll number for the school is 24. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £25 11s fid. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs A. Horne (chairman), W. A. Cockburn (secretary). John King, John Calder and George Sheat. Niagara, —Only the chairman and secretary were present and as there were no nominations the old committee will have to carry on in the meantime. Opio .—Six householders were present and Mr Casey presided. 'The annua! statement shower! a credit balance of £6 13s 3d. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year: —Messrs T. Robertson, senr. (chairman), J. J. Casey (secretary and treasurer l , F. Strudwick, J. O'Brien, and T. Robertson junr. Scott's Gap.— Seven householders were present and Mr James G. Paterson presided. The roll number for the school is 26 and the average attendance for the year was 23, The annual statement showed a credit balance of £l6 15s. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year;— Messrs William Aitken (chairman), Robert Dow-an (secretary), Joseph Childs, Charles Ironmonger - and James G. Paterson. Spar Bush.—Six householders were present and Mr James Drain presided. The roll number for the school is 27 and the average attendance for the year was 21. The annual statement showed a credit baljjie of £2O ISs 4d. The following were iiected a committee for the ensuing year; J. Drain (chairman), C. McCrostie (secretary*. D. Ewart, R. Cartwright and J. Cockburn.
Spring Bank.—Five householders were present and Mr G. R. Grieve presided. The manual statement showed a credit balance of £lO 16s Bd. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs G. R. Grieve (chairmanl, R. Sim (secre raryi, A. McKenzie, S. Buxton and B. JFinlayson, Springhills,—Fifteen householders were present find Mr D. Mcßae presided. The soil number for the school is. 26 average and the average attendance for the year axas 24.5. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £l9 IGa lOd. The foltowing were elected a committee for the ensuing year: —Messrs D. Mcßao (chairman), W. Mitchell (secretary), C. Wilson, E. J. Patterson and C. Hodgkinson. Tgramoa.—Owing to an insufficient numper of householders attending no committee was elected. Waihoaka. —Five householders were pre«mt and Mr C. Brownridge presided. The roll number for the school ia 13 and the average attendance for the year was 10. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £l2. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs C. Brownridge (chairman), E. Allen (secretary), W. Munro , R. Muldrew and N. Townshend. Waikavva Valley.—Five householder? were present and Mr Buckingham presided. The roll number for the school is 16. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £l9. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs J. H. Buckingham (chairman and secretary), G. Crosbie, J. Crosbie. A. Marshall and W. Rhodes. Waimatua. —About thirty householders were present and Mr A. Welsh presided. The roll number for the school is 40 and the average attendance for the year was 39. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £IS Ss lid. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:— Messrs A. Welsh (chairman). Tippet (secretary), Bone, Nally and Verity. Wendon Valley.—About 20 householders were present and- Mr Lamb presided. The roll number for the year was 25.1 and the average attendance for the year was 23.1, fi2 per cent. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £25. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year; —Messrs J. W. Lamb (chairman), J. Penrose (secretary), G. B. Styles, H. 11. Horrell, G. Perkins, J. Anderson. The present roll number is 2S. Wild Bush. —Seven householders were present and Mr J. F. Chalmers presided.
