Captain Jack and three Modoc Indians have been hung for rebellion. Proft ssor John Wise has started in the balloon equipped by the proprietors of the New York Daily Graphic on his voyage across the Atlantic. The American Treasury is depositing currency at New Orleans and Charleston, in order to assist the movement for the exportation of cotton. British frigates are leaving San Francisco for Honolulu in consequence of the expected death of King Lunalilo. Commercial affairs are improving. The grain and cotton markets are reviving.
