The tricolor flag is to be adopted, with the emblem of the old Royalty combined, and immediately a Lieutenant- General of the kingdom will be nominated. The Government has prohibited the publication of any discussion on Gambetta's speech, recently delivered at Bordeaux, in which he declared a republic to be inseparable from France. The Government has suspended the Deputy-Mayor for allowing the Bpeech to be made. Marshal Bazaine's trial has commenced. The Due de Broglie has declared that the revival of priestly rule in France is impossible. The French organs representing Bonapartists and Republicans protest against the coalition in favor of the Comte de Chambord. Madbid, Oct. 7. The Carlists have precipitately evacuated Estella city, in Navarre. The failure in the bombardment of Alicante by the insurgent frigates caused much rejoicing in Madrid.
The Spaniards are irritated at the conduct of England. Disagreements have arisen among the Carlists.
