THE City Council invite TENDERS, to be lodged at the Town Clerk's Office, Mansestreet, on or before FRIDAY, 18th July, 1873, at 3 p.m., for the whole or any part of £12,000 (twelve thousand pounds') value of Corporation Bonds. The Bonds are issuable under the authority and provisions of the " Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865 ;" bear interest at the rate of six per centum per annum, payable halfyearly, at the option of any purchaser, in either London, Melbourne, or Dunedin ; and are secured on the City Rates. FRESH Tenders are invited by the Colonial Government for the construction of the Glenore Contract of the Railway between Tokomairiro and Lawrence, a distance of one mile and sixteen chains. Written tenders, addressed to the Minister for Public Works, and marked outside " Tender for the Glenore Contract of the Tokomairiro and Lawrence Railway," will be received at this office up till four p.m. of Monday, the 30th June, 1873. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and narked, will be received, if presented at any telegraph office by noon of the Bame date, provided that written tenders, in due form, are lodged at the office of the District Engineer, at Dunedin, Christchurch, or Auckland, by the above hour of noon.
