CUSTOMS RETURNS.
The following has been collected as Cu-tome Revenue during the week ending Saturday,
D. Macrorie auctioneer, reports : — "The class of stock which was brought into the yards on Saturday last was above tho average, and yet there was positively little or no demand. The cows and heifers, quiet and exhibiting more or* less t^e requisite points to establish the Ayrshire breed, did not excite even a start in tbe way of bidding, and apparently there was not a buyer of dairy stock in the yard. The unbroken horaes attracted but little competition though tbe attendance was numerous. Two of the thoroughbred fillies were reserved at £20, and are placed in the breaker's hands, and Isold a light colt, out of a half-bred mare, with a thoroughbred strain on the part of the sire, for £9, and the 3 year old filly by "Champion" out of a useful halfdraught mare, at £14.
