Speaking of the wool department in the Christchurch Exhibition, the Times says : — There are only forty exhibits, and chese are with one exception all contributed by this province. It ii ▼erj difficult to understand this, but probably an improvement will be male. Certainly the great merit of such specimens as are shown offers some consolation for the shortcomings in other reßpects, and it may also be said that erery good breed of sheep is represented. Should no improvement occur, therefore, those appointed to select the exhibits for Vienna will hare no trouble whatever in selecting auch as will do credit to the colony. The samples are shown, sotae in grease and others scoured, those having undergone the latter process being exceedingly well got up, which is another gratifying feature in the deI piirtuieut. i
