The Nevada's passengers have all signed a letter strongly condemning the vessel, and stating that no day passed without some of the boiler tubes bursting. Accidents to the machinery occnrred twice, and on one occasion the vessel lay in the trough of the sea helpless as a log, when all hands, including the passengers, manned the pumps.
