RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
♦ (Before H. M'Culloch, Esq., R.M\) Tuesday, Bth October. Hasting Some was fined 5s for being drunk and disorderly in Dee street on Monday evening. Cross v. Thomson. — Claim for £2 14s, goods sold. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for plaintiff, with Us costs. Cross t>. Q-unn. — Claim for £5 ss, balance of account. Judgment for plaintiff, £5 la 9J, with costs, 13i. Defendant p'eiided inability to pay at once, and it was arranged that he shouli pay 10s per week until the amount was discharged, execution to issue in default of the payment of any instalment. Wednesday, 9th October. William Hishon, charged by the Inspector of Nuisances with allowing five horses to wander at large within the limits of the town, was fined 5s for each horse, and 5s 6 J costs. Thubsday, 10th October. James Murphy, charged by the police with bein? drunk in Dee street on Wednesday evening, I was fined ss, or 24 hours' imprisonment.
