LONDON WOOL REPORT.
The following is the latest unpublished circular of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., dated 31st July :— Since the publication of our circular, Wo. 61, on 25th inst., the progress of the wool sales which terminated yesterday evening has been in keeping with our recent advices. The total quantities catalogued were as follows : —
Of which it toyy be assumed that about 7,000 bales have not passed the hammer, 77,000 bales having been taken for the Continent, 8,000 bales for America, and the balance by the home trade. Up to yesterday the following quantities had arrived for the succeeding series, to commence 12th September : —
To these have to be added the quantities either not offered at or withdrawn from the sales just ended, and any arrivals on or before 12th. September.
