Oats are q-ioted at 3s 2d to 3s 4d, for feeding, and up to 3s 6d is obtained for milling. Maize is scarcely so strong a market ; in the absence of any sales at a lower figure, we make no change in our quotations of 3s 3d to 3s Sjd. New teas meet witii very considerable inquiries. Ex Anna Dorothea, 9ome 1,453 halfchests and 270 chests new congous Lave been disposed of at prices rising from Is 4£d to Is 7d, 2s to 2s Id, and up to 2s 6d. An improved demand is reported for sugars, and sales hare been made at £37 10s for yellow brewing crystals to £42 10s lor first whites, while brown grocery was quitted at £32. The Adelaide steamer has brought forward Mauritius advices per Dione to 17th August, the importance of which warrant a fuller notice than could be obtained by telegraph. From a private communication of date referred to, we learn that " owing to the rainy weather, sugar is likely to be scarce for some tinie to come, and for any required for immediate shipment, an advance on quotations will have <o be paid. Yellows and soft whites are almost unproeunble, and held for extreme rates. Some sorts have advanced 15c, and the sugar is coming in so slowlj there is no stock in town. We ' leirn" that the liquidators of the Warrenheip ' Distillery Company limited, have disposed of the balance of their last season's distillation, consisting of upwards of 20,000 gal. geneva and whisky, at satisfactory prices. Most of this quantity has been taken up by one Melbourne fi'm. BjaSS'S 3tCmt is quitted at 10s, a line of 200 "cases has been placed. Bottled ales are wanted, and sales of Scotch brands could be made at 10s to 10s 6d.
