CorGir Lozenges. — ■ Best Spanish liquorice, I oz ; refined sugar, 2 oz ; gum arabic finely powdered, 2 drachms ; and extract of opium, 1 scruple. Well beat, or pound the whole together ; then with mucilage of gum tragaeunth, make into small lozenges, to be dissolved in the mouth when the cough is troublesome. The company expected, it is thought, will not be sent, pending the decision of the Emperor oi Germany as to the sovereignty of the territory. The ranks of the detachment let "t have also been considerably thinned by desertions.
