Dtjnedin, August 9. A public meeting at Port Chalmers has adopted resolutions in favor of the immediate extension of the trunk line of railway from Moeraki to Port Chalmers. Passengers by the Nebraska writing to the Times say that there was no cause for the vessel being put in quarantine at Wellington, but that the Board of Health wished to get credit for energy, at the expenseof Webb's line. In the Supreme Court, Mr Henry Russell's appeal against the decision of the Trust Commissioner in the Heretanga Block question was decided by Judge Johnston, who upheld the decision of the Commissioner.
