Our London agents, under date 23rd Feb., report as follows : — '* Wool. — Since our report on the opening night of thu present series, the sale room has been well attended, and biddings have been animated for all qualities. The advance which We then advised of 2d per lb has increased, and most descriptions are now about 3d per lb higher than the closing prices of tha Ifovember-December series, an advance which is especially noticeable in combing descriptions. During the last few days faulty wools have slightly declined, but we do not anticipate any general reduction during the series. 'Ihe quantity for offer in May is likely to be large, and there may probably be a small decline in prices. This is, of course, assuming that no fresh complications arise with regard to the American quesiion, which we do not think probable." Latest telegrams report the wool sales closed flat — most descriptions suffering to the extent oi Id per lb.
