F, Martin and Co. report : — The safe of building sites in Tay-street, held in the Town Hall on Wednesday, the 24th inst., attracted n very large attendance, and the prices Tealised 'for the different lots were fully up to general expectations. The first lot, section 1, having frontaga to Tay, Cly le, and Wood streets, ■waa started, at. the upset price, and after some spirited competition, fell to Mr H. T. Ross, at £360. The following were the prices realised for the balance of the allotments, v.'z., No. 2, £19), H. T, Ross; No. 3, £160, Executors of the late James iJang; No. 4, £lfiO, G. Saunders ; No. 5, £150, B. Cameron ; No. 6, £1.20, &. Cameron ; Ho. 7, £110, Angus M'L^-an; No. 8, £110, — Barron ; No: 9. £110, B, Buchanan ; No. 10, £105, W. J. Moffett; No. 11, £105, W. J. Moffett; No. 12, £110, Mair & Garven ; No. 13, £120, G. Goodwillie ; No. 14, £110, Mair and Garven ; No. 15, £110, J. Burrowes ; No lfi, £110, W. B. Soandrettj No. 17, £115, G. F. Martin ; No. 18, £115, S. J. Deck ; No. 19, £125, D. M'Robie ; No. 20, £125, —Barron; No. 21, £145, Executors of the late James Lang ; and No. 22. corner section, fell to the bid of Dr Grigor, at £250 ; the grand total being £3115, or an average of about £141 12s each.
