Oapstick, auctioneer, Tokomairiro, reports : — : At the first Annual Earn Sale, held on TuesT dayv 12th> inst., sold, on account of Mr George Nichol — 22 three-quarter bred ewes, at lls each ; and 6 Leicester rams, from £1 to £2 5s each. John Hislop, 18 lambs, 12a 66. each. William Allison — 17 Leicester ram lambs, to Mr John M'Lean, Bellamy Station, at £3 each ; and 2 do, 4" t at £1 ss. Mr Dalgleißh's 15 ewe lambs were purchased by Macpherson Bros, Lower Waipori, for £23 j and his 12 rains were bought by Mr J. Miean sfc £2 15f each. D<*vid Coraan'u SO I
Leicester ewe lambs realised 32s each, and 24 do fit 30s, and were purchased by Mr C. Faulkner, Waihola. Jame3 Sutherland's 6 ewe lambs were bought by Mr P. M'Q-ill for 26s each ; 7 do by Messrs Macpherson, for £1 12s 6d each ; and 9 ram lambs, by Mr G. Matheson, Tuapeka, for £1 18s 6d. David Thomson's 8 Leicester ram lambs were bought by Mr W. Miller for £1 15s each. Mr Wm. Grey sold 1 Leicester ram to Mr F. Wayne at £12 ; 7 Leicester ram lambs to John M'Laren, at £1 12s 6d each ; 3 Leicester ram lambs, to Macpberson Bros, at £3 7a 6d each ; and 2doat £1 10s each. Mr A. Mollison's 6 Leicester rain -5 lambs were bought by Mr J. M'Lean at '20s each. Mr Tnos. Murray exhibited a very superior lot of Leicester ram lambs, which were sold to the following gentlemen at the prices named : — Mr James Smith, Nos. 1, 4, 11, and 13, at £5 15s, £5 sb, £5 ss, £5 ss ; Mr W Miller, No. 2, £7 10s ; Mr W. A. Murray, Nos. 3 and 8, £5 ss, £7 ; Mr M. Dale, Nos. 5, 9, and 12, £8 10s each ; Mr Dalgleish, No. 6, £7 ; Mr Wm. Allison, No. 7, £6 ; Mr James Sutherland, No. 10, £5. Leicester rams, aged, realised from £5 to' £B 12s 6d ; inferior do, from 11s to £3 12s 6d. Mr John Seed's 4 ram lambs were sold at £2 each, Mr Galbraith, pur- » chaser. Mr W. Gordon's 4 Leicester rams i fetched from £1 10s to £3 10s. There were also j a number showo by Messrs Dale, Black, Wayne, I and Dalgleish, i>f which a few were put up for i sale, but were withdrawn. Mr Thomas Murray's 100 Merino store wethers were sold at 3s each. For most of the lots the bidding was spirited, and for the superior ram lambs shown by Mr Murray the competition was keen.-
