Country ferands.are quoted at £12 5s to £12 7s 6d, but we hare not lieard. of any special inquiry or sales of such descriptions. Wheat, being wanted, would be taken up very freely at 5s 6d. Supplies, however, are very backward, and stop business, but, notwithstanding this scarcity, no higher quotations can be - given. Oats are quiet, and no parcels are offering, most of recent arrivals having been stored for better prices. Good feeding sorts realise 3s to 3s 3d. Maize is saleable at 3s 9d in parcels, and several lines have been closed for at the price. ; . Candles are not brisk. We quote lid to Hid, But purchasers do not come forward witblany freedom. Cornsacks are hard to move, though holders are willing sellers now at 12s 3d. Sugars still meet with a very free sale. We hear of 1,500 bags having been quitted at prices ranging from £37 to £40. Besides those offering on Monday, ex Highflyer, we understand that about 3,300 bags Mauritius, the balance of several cargoes, in addition to Bourbon sugars, will be sold on Tuesday. Teas are beginning to attract considerable attention. We hear of about 700 packages — boxes and half- chests — having been placed at figures riding to Is 6d for boxes. There is a good inquiry, and further sales are still pending. In liquids we report the disposal of several parcel* of Hennessy's case brandy at 25s 9d.
