London, Jan. 20. For wool there is a strong enquiry made, and prices are very firm, with an upward tendency. Tallow ia active. Speculative demand for Australian mutton closed at 49s sd, being an advance of Id. New Zealand flax is in good demand, and there is a further rise of 30s to 35a per ton. Hideß are active. Sales of Australian have been made at previous rates. Leather is very active, all descriptions of Australian having advanced 3^d. Consols, 92£ ; wheat, 15s 4J. Paeis, Feb. 5. Eentes, 56f. 10c. New Yoke, Feb. 4. Since the last mail the barque Launcelot has sailed for Sydney with 4,056 cases kerosene and a general cargo. Gold is more active. Sales, 110£; closed, 100|. 52,000 pounds of New Zealand wool were sold at Boston at 55c. to 56c. Shipping. — Arrived — William Davie from Dunedin, Loading — William Dane for Nelson.
