Auckland, Feb. 6th. A settler named Harris, of Poverty Bay, has poisoned himself with morphia. An open verdict has been returned. Dttctedin, Feb. Bth. The Waiareka branch railway has been surveyed. The Boards interested intend to raise £24,000 on the security of the rates. The promoters of the Port Chajmers line offer to construct it.
