MEMORIAL ON CHURCH GOVERNMENT.
Sib, — Two letters appeared in your newspaper lately, signed by " M." and " Memento Vivere" respectively. As the latter contained expressions of so venomous a character against a gentleman whom " Memento Vivere" supposed was " Memento Mori," a hastily-written contradiction from me appeared in your contemporary's issue next day. On consideration, I think it my duty to ask you to insert the fact that the allusion made by " Memento Vivere" was wrong, and therefore unjust, and demands an apology. Regarding my letter and the l'emarks of the writers quoted, it appears sufficient to Btate that at the best-attended pariah meeting held in connection with the Church, a resolution was passed which found only two dissentients — possibly nay friends " M." and " M.V."— affirming that the memorial was calculated to lead the recipients of it to the conclusion that it was an expression of feeling from the Church here, when it was neither brought before a Vestry nor a Parish Meeting.— I am, &c, Msmekto Moei. <»
