■ 0 From Oamaru we learn that there is very little doing in the grain market— farmers holding for higher prices. Values at present are — Wheat, 4s 8(1 to 4s lOd ; oats, 2s 8d to 2s lOd ; potatoes, £1 15b ; flour, £12 10s to £13. At a, sale of horses and cattle, 'prices ruled very low. Light harness horses sold at from £5 5s to £17 10s ; a mixed lot of cattle from 25s to £4,per head. ■ Town sections in Oamaru realised from £3 (upset price) to £12, the average being about £6. Toiomairiro.— The Standard of the 15th reports thcmarketa still quiet, and any change that has occurred; since last week is in favor of buyers. The stagnant condition of the Melbourne market for oats has affected "holders, and a disposition to realise is exhibited by the few who had stocks of any qnantity. - The state of the markets will now be a good deal influenced by the kind of weather which may prevai 1 , and lately it has been highly favorable for the new-sown crops. : .: Messrs Driver, Stewart,' and Co., of Donedin, report for the week ending Oct. 15 as follows : — Fat Cattle.-^-None have beau yarded for public sale during the week, but by private delivery the • market has' been fairly supplied.
