LONDON WOOL REPORTS.

Dalgety, Dv Orox and Co. report under date the 14th July t— The wool salea, which commenced on 16th June with a total of 273,000 bales arrived, hare progressed steadily, and some 158,000 have passed the hammer, leaving about 115,000 bales Btill for sale. Of these it is probable a few thousands may be withdrawn for the October series, besides the* 8,000 or 9,000 that have been bought in. New Zealand hot water washed and snow white . have disappointed us, these descriptions selling no better than in June 1869. Greasy have done fairly, and for ordinary long-stapled wools prices are supported. Messrs Jacomb, Son & Co, remark : — There had throughout these sales been a full attendance of both home and foreign buyers (the latter taking fully one-half of the quantity sold.) Prices opened about on a par with the average of last sales, but dropped during the first fortnight to about the lowest rates of May ; when, however, about one-third of the quantity had been placed R. D, YULE X CO. -

more spirit was shown at" prices slightly over the opening, which have been immltiinad to d.ite. A few prime Sydney flocks have realised very long price 3, while superior parcels if infected with moats and seeds have been unsaleable :it nnything like their apparent valu-J ; a too elaborate classification of some of these clips, when strictly adhered to, divides them into suel^ small lots as not to be attractive to buyers in this market, and should be avoided. Seourel wools have been ruling comparatively cheap. Goo 1 hot water washed New Z>alands ani the better Port P'lillips have given a much less satisfactory result than has been the ctise with medium and lower qualities and wools in greasa. The Capes have nearly all been sold at prices above the last sales, good snow whites selling somewhat better.
