The following are the latest Dunedin quotations: — - Flour, £12 10s to £13; oatmeal, £17 to £17 10s ; peai-1 barley, £22 ; wheat, 4s 9d to 5s per bushel; oats, 3s to 3s 2d do ; barley, 2s 9d to 3a do; bran, £5 10s per ton ; pollard. £5 15s do ; hay. £4 5s to £4 10s do ; straw, £2 5s to £2 10s ; chaff, £4 to £4 10s do j potatoes, £2 15s to £3 do ; carrots, £2 10s do ; butter, 10J to Is per lib ; cheese,6d to 9d do j hams and bacon, 9d ; bags, 13s. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. report for the week ending the 17th September as follows :—- Eat Cattle. —The market has been only moderately supplied, and we can report an advance on late rates. We sold 30 bead, prime quality, at 27s 6d per lOOlbs, and yarde 1 one draft of middling quality, which sold at fully 25s per lOOlbs. Fat Sheep. —The number coming forward being insufficient for the wants of the trade, we have to quote a further rise of id per lb. We Bold, for delivery, 800 merino wethers at 3id per lb. Halfbreds are worth 3|d. Fat lambs we have sold, for delivery, 200 at 7s 6d each. Store Cattle. — We hare-no transactions to report. In the absence' of operations, prices may be quoted at £4 to £4 5s for three to four-year-old bullocks, and £2 15s to £3 for mixed lota. Store Sheep. — Half-bred and merino wethers, and mixed halfbred lambs continue in request. We quote 2tooth half-breds at 83 each; 4, 6, and 8-tooth merino wethers at from 6s 6d to 7s; mixed. half-bred lambs, .63 to 6s 6d. Horses. —The demand is maintained for good young draughts, and upstanding light harness horses. We quote first-class draught- horsed £45 to £50 ; middling do, £30 to £35 ; light harness horses, £18 to £22 ; inferior do, £5 to £10. Grain.—Really good samples'of are scarce and wanted,: and would-readily command 5s to 5s 3d per bushel.. —Oatsfafe in good request, and sell freely at 3iito. 3s 3d for feed, and 3s 4d to 3s 6d for milling' samples.
