Wood, Messrs Wells, Whittingham, Lodge, and 4 in the steerage. : Per Airedile, for Punedin and Northern Ports — His Honor Judge Chapman, Mr and Mrs M'lntdsh, Mr Conway, Rev. Father Belliard, and 2 in the steerage. The s.s. Airedale left Onehunga wharf on the 21st ult., at 2 p.m. ; crossed the Manukau bar same afternoon at 3.45, arrived off Taranaki the following day at 4 a.in. ; left at .11.30 a.m., and arrived off Nelson lighthouse a*. 1.30 a.m. of the 23rd, having had light variable winds,. with smooth water and fine weather throughout. Sailed from Nelson at 4 a.m. of the 24th, and reached Picton at 1 p.m. ; left at half-past, called at Tawiti, and took on board 87 casks whale oil, and left at 5.40 p.m., arriving at Wellington the same night at 9. Proceeded from Wellington on the 26th at 4 p.m.; anchored at Lyttelton on the 27th at 9.15 a.m. j transhipped cargo from Lord Ashley, and sailed at 630 p.m., the night being densely dark and foggy. Encountered a strong N.E. gale, with' thick weather and high seas ; crossed the Otago bar over a very heavy break, and anchored at Port Chalmerß at 1.15 p.m. of the .28th ; left at 4.30 next afternoon, and met with westerly winds, thick weather and beam seas ; ' sighted the Nuggets light at midnight, and arrived on the morning of the 30th.
