Messrs Wright,. Stephenson, and Co. report, for the week ending 2nd April, as follows :• — Fat Cattle. — --The market - continues well supplied, and we cannot report any improvement in value. One draft of fair good quality yarded this week brought from 20s to 25s per lOOlbs. Fat Sheep. — The number yarded, 1700, being much in excess of requirements, prices declined very considerably. Fat lambs are in fair demand, at from 6s to 6s 9d each. We quote half-bred wethers, 2d per lb ; Merinos, Ijd to If d. Store Cattle. — No transactions. : Store Sheep. — There is a good demand for half-bred and Merino wethers, but for other descriptions there is little enquiry. Our sales comprise 3600 wethers, at 4s each ; 4000 mixed lambs, at 6s.per, pair ; 1200 full-mouthed ewes, at 2s each. We quote 2 and 4 tooth half-breds, at 4s 6d to 5s each, lambs, do, 7s to 8s per pair; Merino wethers, 4s to 4a 6d each ; mixed lambs, 6s pe*pair. Horses.— Our market still continues glutted with light inferior stock. Good draught horses are scarce, and in demand. We quote good hacks, £15 to £20 ; middling do £10 to £12 ; inferior, from £3 upwards; good draught £40 to £50; middling do, £27 to £35. ~ Country Sale.— At Tokomairiro, on the 30th nit., we sold, in the estate of Mr" Thos. Murray, mixed cattle at £2 15s per head, 3600 store •wethers at 4s each ; the Glenore estate, 731 acres, with flour-mill, £2345; 240 acres Table Hill District, at 18s per acre ; agricultural lease of 40 acres, £145; do of 20 acres, £80 ; 2000 bushels oats, at Is lid.
