VOLUNTEER PRIZE FIRING.
The firing for the General Government prizes took place at the Invercargill butts on Wednesday, the 23rd inst. The weather was very unfvaorable, a strong south-west wind blowing across the range." The following is the scoring:— ' : i '■■ : ' Yards.
Before the firing commenced, Sergts. J. Thomson, Colin Brown, A. Brown, CorpL Campbell, and Private "W- Craigie were chosen to represent the Invercargill company in the t> unedin return match, from which it will be seen that Invercargill made 158 points in the return match.
