STOCK REPORT.
Messrs Wright, Ptephenson, and Co. report, for tbe week ending the 29th inst., as follows : — Fat Cattle. — This market continues well supplied. We sold two drafts at prices equal to 25b per lOOlbs for prime beef, and 20s to 22s 6d for middling quality. Fat Sheep.— "A larger number than were required came forward : the trade being fully stocked, competition was not brisk, and a reduction on last week's rates had to be submitted to. We sold by auction 800 head at from 4s to 5s 6d each, and quote prime mutton lid to lid per lb. Fat Lambs brought from 4s 6d to 6s 93. per head. Store Cattle. — We sold *»n inferior lot by suction ; bullocks at from £4 to £5 ; cows, £2 10s to £3 10s ; yearlings, 35s to 45s j and a few quiet dairy cows, £8 to £8 10s. Store Sheep. — There are do transactions to report this week. Prices continue without alteration, and we beg to refer intending buyers and sellers to our quotations of last week. ' Horses. — Our yards on Saturday were well supplied, chiefly with medium and light draught and hacks, most of which were placed at the following quotations : — First-class heavy draught, none offering ; medium do, from £25 to £35 10s ; inferior, £15 to £22 ; first-class hacks and light harness ho»es, nominal ; useful do, £13 to £18 ; inferior, £4 10s and upwards. Station Property.— On the 28th inst. we offered by auction the Dalvey Station and stock, consisting of about 19,000 acres leasehold country, and 1624 acres freehold, with 10,900 Bheep, horses, cattle, &c., but were obliged to withdraw it for want of competition. We afterwards sold it privately foy £7500, the purchaser being George Pointer, Esq.
