The Duchess of Genoa opposes her son's candidature to the Spanish throne. Two deputies have been convicted of treason, and sentenced to death. Admiral Topete has been elected VicePresident of the Cortes. The Bishop of Havanna, en route for the (Ecumenical Council at Borne, was arrested on his arrival at Cadiz.
