The ' Daily Times ' of the 17th inst. says :— The business of the day has been unimportant, and very little in the way of sales can be noted. The advices to hand have caused no variation in the markets, and trade is without any stimulus. The sugars offered at Messrs M'Landress, Hep. burn and Co.'s Rooms attracted some attention, but the material difference in the cost of these sorts not being sufficiently tak^n into account by buyers ihe limits were hardly reached, and little business resulted, The produce market witnesses a lair amount of animation ; oats are firm, at last quotations, find wheats and barley are not without, attention.
