Adelaide, April 80. A very animated debate has taken place in the Synod on a resolution which was proposed, requesting the Bishop to use his influence in the correction and preventation of the evils of Ritualism. The resolution was ultimately carried, only three of the clergymen dissenting. Wheat is quoted at 5s Id for export* but there is not much doing. May! The meeting of the Synod has been adjourned to the 25th of May. Madame Anna Bishop's last concert took place last night, and was well attended. . , .* 5 p.m.— "Wheat is quietat last quotation of 5s Id. Flour is quoted at £11 10s to £13 10s according to brands. May 3. At a meeting of the Smithfield Farmers* Club a resolution was passed to the effect that it would be inexpedient to give statistical returns as regards the yield of wheat. . : Wheat is firm at 5s Id, and the market quiet. An official visit is to be made to the agricultural areas recently discovered at Yorke's Peninsula, and the site of the township is"to be fixed at ; the 131110 time.
